The Power of Humility - O poder da humildade

There was a little bird, flying so high,
He looked at the lion, with a mighty sigh.
The lion roared loud, strong and bold,
But the bird was humble, gentle, and cold.

The lion said, “I am the king,
I rule the jungle, I am everything!”
The bird flew close and softly said,
“True power lies in what’s in your head.”

“You may be big, and I so small,
But kindness is the strength we all should call.
A gentle heart is worth much more,
Than the loudest roar or the highest score.”

The lion stopped, and thought a while,
He saw the bird’s humble, gentle smile.
“I see now,” said the lion with a nod,
“Humility is the strength of the heart, not a rod.”

The bird flew off, as the lion stood tall,
A wiser king, kinder to all.
Remember this, both big and small,
Humility is the greatest power of all.

Havia um passarinho, voando tão alto,
Ele olhou para o leão, com um grande salto.
O leão rugiu, forte e ousado,
Mas o passarinho era humilde, suave e calado.

O leão disse: “Eu sou o rei,
Eu comando a selva, sou tudo, olhei!”
O passarinho voou perto e disse baixinho,

O leão parou e pensou um momento,
Viu no sorriso do passarinho o seu ensinamento.
“Agora entendi,” disse o leão com um aceno,
“A humildade é a força do coração, não do veneno.”

O passarinho voou, enquanto o leão ficou de pé,
Um rei mais sábio, mais gentil até.
Lembre-se disso, seja grande ou pequeno,
A humildade é o maior poder, é o terreno.
